Overview

Balıklıdere Primary School, which sustained significant structural damage, was left without access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities. To address this critical situation, our 14R Bundle provides a temporary water storage solution. The 14R Bundle is specifically designed for rapid deployment, allowing for quick installation. Once installed, the tank can undergo hydration and curing processes within a single day, ensuring that it is ready for immediate use. This crucial feature ensures that students at Balıklıdere Primary School can access clean water as early as the next day after installation, promoting their well-being and providing much-needed relief in the aftermath of the earthquake.

Application

In this case, the 14R Bundle played a vital role during the challenging post-disaster period by supplying both potable and non-potable water. With the provision of potable water, Deploy's 14R Bundle was able to connect various types of water filters. In collaboration with Lifestraw, who generously donated the Lifestraw Max model, safe drinking water was made accessible to the students. The combined efforts of these technologies ensured access to clean drinking water, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and promoting the well-being of the students at Balıklıdere Primary School.

Installation Challenges

1. The tanks needed to be installed in the back side of the school at an elevated spot.

2. This tank was installed by 2 Deploy volunteers.
