Overview

Pazarcik Adiyaman Container City serves as a critical refuge for a displaced population of 1000 people. However, the urgent need for water posed a significant challenge for the camp's inhabitants. In response to this pressing issue, Deploy successfully delivered the 14R Bundle from the UK to Pazarcik Adiyaman Container City within a week via air freight. With the arrival of the 14R Bundle, Pazarcik Adiyaman Container City is now equipped with a reliable water source, enabling it to more effectively meet the residents' needs. Deploy's 14R is utilized as the central water storage unit, storing water daily with the assistance of mobile tankers visiting the camp every day and distributing water to smaller units for various applications.

Application

In this case, the 14R Bundle played a vital role during the challenging post-disaster period by supplying both potable and non-potable water. With the provision of potable water, Deploy's 14R Bundle was able to connect to various types of water filters. In this specific instance, Lifestraw generously donated the Lifestraw Max to Deploy, enabling the provision of safe drinking water to the residents. The combined efforts of these technologies ensured access to clean drinking water, significantly reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and promoting the well-being of the community in Pazarcik Adiyaman Container City.

Installation Challenges

Transporting water tanks to earthquake-hit cities was daunting due to closed entryways and rubble-filled streets. Using plastic tank alternatives was not feasible because they needed transportation by lorries, which wasn't possible. Instead, easily transported tanks were deployed to the site using a panel van, and a forklift was used to load the tank onto the van.
